FAQ

How does this program work?
Once you sign up for our service you will be sent a confirmation email with additional information about what to expect and link to access your account.

Once you log in with the link, you will be able to add products to your cart and check out normally.
‍
Orders and changes to recurring orders are due Monday before noon. All orders will be delivered the following Thursday and Friday depending on your area.
Do we have to order a subscription, or can we order a la carte?
We offer a variety of options for you to choose from. If you would like a box of mixed seasonal vegetables, we have the veggie box for you. If you prefer to pick and choose what you want delivered, you can individually select the items that you want included.
What if I need to make a change to my order but have missed the deadline?
Any changes to your weekly order must be made by Monday morning before noon. Once that deadline hits, we are unable to make any changes to your order. Our farmers plan their harvest according to your orders, so it’s important to have your orders finished and submitted on time.

Thanks for understanding!
What types of payment do you accept?
Currently we accept all major credit cards, and Paypal, as well as checks and cash on delivery.

We will also be accepting a number of crypto currencies soon!
Is this a contract?
Your membership is not a contract and you can cancel at any time. Any subscriptions you select will continue until you cancel them. Cancellations must also be submitted before Sunday night at midnight to prevent any deliveries the following week.
When are deliveries?
Currently, we deliver every Thursday to Mountain Grove, Ava, Mansfield, Hartville, and Seymour. On Friday we deliver to Fordland, Diggins, Rogersvile and the Springfield area. As we grow we will be adding additional delivery days. We reserve the right to change our delivery days at any time with seven days notice via email.
What’s the quality of your produce like?
We guarantee the quality of all produce and products you receive. If you have a quality concern, please let us know as soon as possible. We will provide you with a replacement, or we will credit your account for the item to be used on your next order.
Will the fresh produce only be available seasonally?
In the off seasons you will still be able to obtain the produce you want, however, it may need to be sourced from regional or national supply lines.

We are working with our farmers to promote year round production, for the moment however, certain local items will be limited to specific seasons.
Do I need to provide a cooler and ice packs for deliveries to my home or office?
You are able to provide your own coolers and ice packs, however, coolers and ice packs are also available for purchase.

Please be sure to return all ice packs to the cooler before delivery every Thursday.
A DEPOSIT WILL BE CHARGED FOR ALL SUPPLIES NOT RETURNED. When you return the items they will be credited to your account.
What about the weather? Where will my Box be left?
During the summer, please designate a sheltered shady area in your delivery instructions. Please provide a cooler with an ice pack to receive your more fragile items. Keep in mind, we cannot guarantee the quality of your products without an available cooler. Be SURE to leave ice packs in the cooler - in the heat of summer it will become an “oven” if you don’t. We will supply ice packs if needed, however we will charge a deposit for them.
If the weather is questionable (during our colder months or the tornado season), we will evaluate and contact you via email or text with updates. On extremely rare occasions we will have to reschedule deliveries if it is too dangerous for our Delivery Drivers to be on the road.
How do you recycle / reuse the containers you use for deliveries?
Every week when we drop off your order, we also pick up the containers from the previous week. Most of the packaging materials we deliver with are reusable and you can help us reduce waste by rinsing and returning packaging. We will wash and sanitize them before using them for another delivery.
What are the standards for the participating farmers and local businesses?
Everyone at the Little Farm Store is dedicated to promoting natural and healthy methods of food production, and we continually visit our farms to be sure that they are growing their food safely. However, we also acknowledge that there is a variety of opinions on what practices are best.  Instead of discriminating against conventional practices we believe that allowing our customers to decide what is important is the best method to promote a healthier food system. We accurately describe the methods our farmers use, and share this information with our customers.
Can we visit the farms producing our food?
Yes! Our farmers love to have visitors! We regularly organize farm dinners and other events where you can come and meet the people who are growing your food and experience how it's done. There are also volunteer opportunities available where you can roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty alongside.
How can we become more involved?
Throughout the seasons, there are volunteer opportunities where you can come out to the farms and contribute your time in planting, maintaining and harvesting, or you can join in educational presentations and hands on workshops. All events will be posted on our Locals page as well as social media and email.
How do our purchases contribute to the local agri-economy?
When you choose to support local agriculture, your $$ circulates closer to home, promoting your neighbors’ prosperity. The majority of $$ that goes to national and multinational conglomerates leaves our community and very little of it reaches the people who are actually growing the food.  It's estimated that only 14% of every dollar spent on mass agriculture food goes to the farmer. When you buy food through the Little Farm Store at least 50% of the price goes directly to the farm which grows it!
Is the packaging biodegradable and eco-friendly?
Yes, as much as possible, we use biodegradable and recyclable packaging, much of which can be reused - please rinse and place containers and other reusable packaging in your delivery location on Friday for our drivers to pick up when they drop off your order.
What is your policy on allergies?
Right now, we do not have a policy in place to use separate containers for members with food sensitivities. You can order products that do not contain any items that you are allergic to, however, though we do wash them, we cannot guarantee that there is no residue present since they are retrieved each week from other customers.
